The Flow Model Pattern was invented in 2013 to address one of the business requirements of my then client. Little did I know, that it could serve as an alternative and an enhancement for the Page Object Pattern in the future.

Although the Flow Model Pattern was originally designed for UI test automation purposes, it can still be leveraged in API test automation. The primary idea is: the structure of API's is not represented by pages but rather utilities that include the API calls.
